What is Genesis?
Genesis is a family friendly annual Arts and Music Festival. It's located in Central Oregon on 200 acres of private land in the Ochoco Mountains roughly 20 miles east of Prineville Oregon. The theme of Genesis is getting back to nature and coexisting with technology instead of letting it destroy nature. With multiple performances from all over Oregon, Northern Cali, Southern Washington, Idhao and beyond as well as multiple vendors and art installations ranging from vehicle transformations, to live RGB art, to sculptors, to food, and craft vendors of all types. To top it all off you have 4 days of on-site camping provided so you don't have to miss a thing!
Where is Genesis located?
As this is located on private land in the Ochoco Mountains there is no physical address, however the coordinates are as follows 44.359914, -120.488454 please use the exact coordinates and not the address that Google Maps trys to use. Travelling through Prineville OR coming from Madras OR or Redmond OR you will be travelling east on NE 3rd St aka Hwy 26 - At the intersection of Combs Flat Rd and NE 3rd St (last traffic light in Prineville) you will continue east for 15.0 miles and turn right onto Ochoco Ranger Station Rd aka Ochoco Creek Rd, you will then travel 4.0 miles and your destination will be on your left.

Genesis is a family event. As such the only requirement(s) is that anyone under the age of 18 be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times. This means you need to have your ID - NO EXCEPTIONS -
Is this a cash event?
Yes. Please come prepared as there will be NO Atm's at the event site, and plenty of craft vendors, artists, food vendors, and a beer garden.
Will there be camp fires allowed?
No personal camp fires will be allowed at the event or charcoal grills. We will allow propane stoves but only if there isn't a ban on them, which you can check here USDA Ochoco Home. Be sure to check this site on a regular basis before coming to the event. Event staff will enforce any ban set by the Forest Service.
Can we bring our pets?
Service dogs allowed at Genesis in accordance with the guidelines provided by the ADA. Genesis is not obligated to allow pets. ONLY service dogs are allowed.
In the past, people have brought pets to Genesis pretending that they are service animals. This is a problem for the festival organizers and it is disrespectful to people with actual disabilities who require a service animal. Pet dogs are not allowed at Genesis because they can bite and fight, and this is a liability for the festival. We understand that you love your pet, but Genesis is not the place for him or her.
Deceiving Genesis staff into believing that your pet is a service animal when it is not will cause Genesis security to ask you to leave immediately as well as being put on a watch list for future events. We reserve the right to refuse admittance or eject any individual who violates our no pets policy. Those bringing pets will be turned away without a refund.
If you are bringing your service animal to Genesis, your service animal must remain under your immediate control AT ALL TIMES. If your service animal is not under your immediate control, you will be asked to remove the animal from the premises of Genesis. You may return to the venue without the animal if you are so inclined.
UNDER YOUR IMMEDIATE CONTROL means that your service dog must remain with you at all times. Do not leave your service dog unattended. You must bring adequate water and food for your service dog. Dog food is not available on site.
If your service dog is not under your control, if you are not cleaning up after your service dog, Genesis will ask you to remove your animal from the premises.
Genesis will not tolerate animal cruelty under any circumstances. Genesis reserves the right to remove from the premises anyone caught mistreating an animal. DO NOT LEAVE DOGS IN CARS! Be kind to animals.
